Report: Cribbs Nearing New Contract With Browns

I was listening to some various reports through the media and it is being said out of Browns camp that the Cleveland Browns are very close to a new deal with Joshua Cribbs. Cribbs has been trying for almost a year now to get a new deal done that would be paying him Devin Hester type money. Now the length of the contract isn't being reported yet, but it's sounding as though the money would be for around ten million total. If this indeed happens, Cleveland would retain the best kick returner in the league not to mention one of the most versatile players in the NFL. Let's be honest, if the Browns didn't have Cribbs you could have probably taken away around two or three wins from last year including the big win over the hated Steelers.

Cribbs has been used in many different formations on offense such as the "WILD CAT" formation as well as a wide out. Starting next year, I wouldn't doubt that Cleveland starts to use him more on defense as a possible free-safety because it seems as though Josh is a huge play maker. He would be good on defense as long as he can see what is in front of him. His passion for the game and more specifically the city of Cleveland and our fans has been mentioned various times in multiple interviews both locally and nationally.
When you walk the streets and see a Browns jersey being worn the chance of it being a Cribbs jersey is around 80% and if it's not Cribbs it's a Quinn or Jim Brown jersey. The only thing that we can do now is continue to wait and get an official word and then we can finally rest knowing that Cribbs will be in a Browns uniform for years to come working to bring the fans of the city of Cleveland it's first berth in the Super Bowl and it's first Super Bowl victory. As always remember... there's loud............THEN THERE'S CLEVELAND LOUD!
